Tottenham are reportedly ahead in the race to sign Lille midfielder Angel Gomes, with clubs from France, Spain, and Germany also vying for his signature.
The 24-year-old has impressed this season for both Lille and the England national team and is nearing the end of his contract in June.
Tottenham have already held talks with Gomes’ agent and are looking to speed up negotiations, according to former Spurs scout Mick Brown.
Meanwhile, Gomes has turned down a contract offer from West Ham and is unlikely to reconsider, leaving him open to exploring other options.
