Argentina fans can breathe a sigh of relief as Lionel Messi takes a massive step toward full fitness.

The Inter Miami superstar recently sidelined by a hamstring strain has officially rejoined group training. National team manager Lionel Scaloni confirmed the positive news, hinting that the legendary forward might see some game time in Argentina’s upcoming warm-up matches.

The reigning world champions face Honduras this Saturday in Texas, followed by a clash against Iceland on Tuesday in Alabama. While Messi was initially expected to miss the Honduras fixture, his rapid recovery has handed the squad a major boost.

Scaloni remains optimistic about the captain’s progress as the team prepares for their highly anticipated World Cup opening match against Algeria on June 16.
