Panama head coach Thomas Christiansen has named his 26-man World Cup squad, eyeing history in a tough group with England and Croatia.

Panama is ready to shake up the global stage once again. After punching their ticket to just their second-ever World Cup with a decisive victory over El Salvador, the Central American nation has officially revealed its 26-man roster.
Head coach Thomas Christiansen announced the squad at the iconic Panama Canal Administration Building, emphasizing a desire to surpass their 2018 debut.
The roster features a heartwarming redemption story for veteran forward Alberto Quintero, who finally gets his World Cup chance after injury cruelly ruled him out eight years ago. However, Christiansen made tough tactical cuts, notably leaving out Botafogo midfielder Kadir Barria.
The path ahead is daunting. Placed in a challenging Group L, Los Canaleros kick off their campaign against Ghana on June 17, before squaring off against football heavyweights England and Croatia.
The squad full:
Goalkeepers: Orlando Mosquera, Luis Mejia and Cesar Samudio
Defenders: Cesar Blackman, Jorge Gutierrez, Amir Murillo, Fidel Escobar, Andres Andrade, Edgardo Farina, Jose Cordoba, Eric Davis, Jiovany Ramos and Roderick Miller
Midfielders: Anibal Godoy, Adalberto Carrasquilla, Carlos Harvey, Cristian Martinez, Jose Luis Rodriguez, Cesar Yanis, Yoel Barcenas, Alberto Quintero and Azarias Londono
Forwards: Ismael Diaz, Cecilio Waterman, Jose Fajardo and Tomas Rodriguez
